Official Concept
As for the 1300 Year Anniversary Mascot Character selected once has become nowadays a hot topic, its work unfavorably received bitter criticism due to not only a queer image but also improper selection on its process to the final stage that has eventually risen now a campaign to let it start afresh again among citizens.
The most important role is that the chosen one should be of popularity and familiarity among them although such a news as that made advantageous THE ANNIVERSARY itself to publicize to some extent.
Those who are anxious with that unstable situation established recently a group named CREATORS FORUM YAMATO with which intends to receive a new Mascot character widely to image up a pleasant mood that is pertinent to The Anniversary.
The Forum would like to accept your character through Website all over the world and then people single out a favorable one by public vote in a way of street panels and Website.
Our official concept is “Fresh, Pleasant and Beloved Nara Heijokyo in 1300 Year”
“Let's look at value of Nara with your fresh eyes.”
“Let's learn Nara pleasantly.”
“Let's reproduce a new image with your beloved heart.” are all our hope.
Would-be chosen Mascot Character can be representative of Citizen of Nara Prefecture and our Forum group would like to be friendly together with the old one hand in hand to make The Anniversary prosper more.
We are eagerly waiting for your creative character design coming at the soonest.
